Scanning instructions

The perfect scan might require a few attempts. The process varies depending on your phone model, so please follow the instructions in the app.

Tips for a successful scan (applicable for all phone models):

• Check your connection: Make sure that you are connected to high-speed Internet or WiFi.

• Choose a plain background: Stand with your back to a wall or door. Avoid standing in the middle of a room or in front of a window, as this can make it harder for the camera to focus during the scan.

• Keep your face clear: Remove glasses, hats, or anything that could cover your eyes. Tie back long hair.  If you need glasses to read the on-screen instructions, ask someone to read them aloud while you complete the scan with your glasses off.

• Phone position: Hold your phone approx. 12 inches (30cm) from your face when scanning.

• Move slowly: Very slowly move your head around while keeping your phone still. NOT the other way around.

• Stay centered: Try to keep your head centered on the screen at all times.
